About the Founder

Christa Raines, Executive Director and Founder of Chrysalis: The Developmental Service, LLC is a Licensed Professional Counselor (Psychotherapist) in Georgia and Maryland as well as a National Certified Counselor. Christa Raines brings to Chrysalis a strong educational knowledge base with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology and Masters of Science Degree in Human Services, specializing in Professional Counseling. Christa Raines also holds a Graduate Certificate in Marriage and Family Services. In addition to her education, Christa Raines contributes over 16 years of experience in providing therapeutic services to a variety of settings to include mental health outpatient clinics, residential facilities, school based programs, substance abuse facilities and family systems based services and has served as adjunct faculty for several universities. Christa Raines has demonstrated highly developed clinical skills in areas of assessments and evaluations, psychoanalytical and psychosocial analyses, development and implementation of treatment plans, supportive and therapeutic counseling to assist client and family adjustments and clinical supervision with the intent to enhance clinical competency among mental health clinicians. Christa Raines also has strong managerial skills as she has managed the daily operations of an array of human services to include strategic planning, budget management, program development, staff development, regulatory compliance and community collaboration

My philosophy of life is guided by the benefits and rewards that are generously provided to us once we are able to acknowledge and accept the genuine desires that truly stem from our hearts. These genuine desires become our inspiration and motivation to begin the process of exploring our own unique path to long-term life satisfaction. I have incorporated this philosophy into my own life as I continue to prosper and harmonize my daily life roles as a daughter, sister, mother, wife, entrepreneur and finally as an individual.
